The work is set in a town. Lina, her father, Roberto, Cecilia, Puck, the leader of the troupe and Juanito rehearse for their gala performance in the circus that night. All is well, but Puck and Cecilia's constant disputes. In spire of Puck's undying love for her, she decides to leave the troupe in search of fame and fortune.
